About us

AusbildungCorner is an independent English-language guide to Ausbildung, Germany’s paid vocational training system, for people who are researching it from outside Germany or are new to it.

Why we exist
Ausbildung is a practical route into a skilled career, but most information about it is in German, scattered across many sites, or mixed with marketing. We explain how Ausbildung works in plain English: what the professions are, what employers expect, what trainees earn, which German level is needed, and how to apply.

How we work

  • We base our guides on official German sources, such as federal and regional authorities and chambers of commerce, and we link to them on each page.
  • Every guide shows a “last updated” date, because requirements and figures change.
  • We separate what is verified from what applicants commonly report, and we say so when something is not confirmed.
  • We keep trainee pay and pay after qualification apart, because they are very different.

What we do not do

  • We do not give legal, immigration or visa advice. Entry and residence rules are set by German authorities and change often, so we point you to the official sources instead.
  • We are not a recruitment agency, a consultancy or a government body, and we cannot guarantee a training place or a job.
  • We do not ask applicants for money.
